![]() There is a lot of equipment, and sometimes even whole systems, out there that are no longer serviced by the original installer or have even been abandoned by the owner. We have affectionately come to call this type of equipment ‘Orphaned Technology’. One
the most frequently asked questions we get is, “Can we re-use any of the
equipment we already have?” Sometimes
a solution is as simple as a new conference room that needs a projector
and the customer already having one they are not using. It sounds simple
enough but more often than not the integrator or installer won’t install
it if it wasn’t purchased from them. Recently we were contacted by a
church that is building a new facility. They just purchased all new
audio and video equipment less than 2 years ago and want it all moved to
their new Another thing that we hear quite often is, “We don’t need a new system; we just need the one we have to work.” Typically, just one or two pieces of a system no longer work and the whole solution is left to collect dust. In some cases the system works it just never quite did what it was supposed to. In either case, we can help breathe new life into your existing technology.
